Design Requirements for Digital Art Books

Design your double page spreads using appropriate design software and ensure that your images are colour corrected.

Please size the pages for the album, for example a 12″ x 12″ album has a page (spread) sheet size of 24″ wide by 12″ high. Remember to apply a 1/4″ (6mm) bleed all around. In the example given, the final image size should be 24 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ overall.

Image spreads should be at 300dpi in RGB or SRGB and need to be saved as flattened (non layered) jpegs or TIFFs. Save your image filenames in page order e.g. 01.jpg, 02.jpg, 03.jpg etc. and place all the images in one folder. The folder name should include the Photogether order number (e.g. w001029_1).

Please also produce and save a contact print of your designed images that shows us the order in which they should be bound. If you save it in jpg or pdf form, it can be attached to a CD/DVD or FTP transferred to us.
